Arrival at the Leh Kushok Bakula Airport (experience one of the most sensational flights in the world). On a clear day during the flight, you will see in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat & Gasherbrum on one side and on the other side of the aircraft is the Nun Kun Massif. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a Triyana host, who will assist you with transfers to the hotel, check-ins, etc. You will be served welcome drinks, and then the complete first day will be for your resting and leisure at the hotel itself. This is done to help you acclimatise faster to Ladakh’s high altitude!
Have a good breakfast and spend the day to energise yourself. Explore the Leh Market and tour the Ladkah Arts and Media Organisation with us. Have early snacks and dinner at the hotel or outside at a reputable restaurant to end the day.
After breakfast, you will be accompanied by a guide who will take you from the hotel to Leh Palace. The guided tour begins from the Leh Palace, Ladakh Arts and Media Organization, and ends at Central Asian Museum. After the walking tour, the guide will accompany you to the main market from where you will be taken to Stok village for an authentic Ladakhi lunch. Post lunch, visit the 200-year-old Ladakhi house and get an insight on how the local people lived in the olden days.
Post breakfast, we drive to the famous Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over the Khardung La pass. This is the highest motorable road in the world at 5,602 metres / 18,390 feet,
around 39 kms from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus Valley. Endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range and the giants of Saser Massif are clearly visible. The terrain keeps
changing every 30 minutes and each turn takes you deeper into the mountains to finally reach the valley at the centre. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 ft. above sea level.
After an early breakfast, leave for the breathtakingly beautiful terrains that lead to the mesmerising Pangong Lake. Drive through the famous Changla Pass situated at an altitude of 5486 metres. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photography session and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can stop for a warm & relaxing cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong, you pass through a few small villages of Changthang and a lovely terrain. Then, through the winding and scenic route, finally you get the first few glimpses of the beautiful Pangong Lake, which is situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 metres) above the sea level. This famous blue brackish lake of Pangong is 5/6 kms wide and over 133 kms long, with half of it running on the other side of the “Indo-China Border”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. After the success of the movie, 3 Idiots, this beautiful natural location has attracted more tourists from all over the world. Upon arrival, we check-in at our camp near the Pangong lake, which is cosy and extremely comfortable. Experience the lake front, the blue & clear waters, the magical sunset and the glaciers visible on the mountains which surround the entire lake on all sides. End the day with a warm dinner and night stay in the camps on the banks of the lake.
Early morning, experience the beautiful sunrise at the lake front and spend time to explore the beauty of the lake and mountain ranges surrounding it. Have breakfast at the camp, click lots of photographs and do leisure walks around the breathtakingly beautiful lakeside. By noon we head back to Leh. On way, we stop at the Hemis Gompa, which is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Post the monastery tour, check-in at the hotel for an early dinner at the hotel.
Have a good breakfast and spend the morning to energize yourself and acclimatize to the Ladakh region. In the afternoon, proceed to experience the grandeur of Thiksey Monastery. It is an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. Then, proceed to the famous 3 Idiots Rancho School.
This is followed by a visit to the Leh marketplace. You can choose to have dinner either in the marketplace at a reputed restaurant or at the hotel.
Early morning, experience the beautiful scenic beauty and rural setting of Ladakh via cycling tour (cycles will be provided at the hotel) .Spend the morning cycling through the link road and visit various villages. We will halt for a picnic lunch on the banks of Indus, soon after resting we will then visit few famous monasteries. We will have cars for the options of driving back to Leh in case of any emergency
